COURTNEY AARON

I’m a Lake Tahoe based wedding and portrait photographer, and fan of unposed, giddy-in-love, melt-my-lenses-editorial-style moments … oh, and t-shirts and jeans.

PHOTOGRAPHY

18 years ago I slung a camera strap around my neck, and I’ve been capturing moments and memories that will be cherished for generations to come ever since. My goal? Put you at ease in front of the camera and document what matters and giving you something timeless in a fleeting world.

Jayci & Raied’s Eclectic Placerville Wedding

Filed in: Weddings

When a wedding is held in a backyard, and the backyard is acres of rolling Placerville hills, with horses nestled in one area, beside a cobblestone home, and the hill from a peaceful pond, the wedding’s beauty will be endless. Their close-knit community of friends and family all played active roles in making the day come together so beautifully. From coordinating the day, hair and makeup, ceremony flowers, a calligraphy chalkboard welcome sign that doubled as a install photo booth, this was an example that, yes, it is possible to pull it all off in a laid back, no-fuss style with the help of friends. That fit exactly what Jayci & Raied were going for.

Jayci wore a modern lace WTOO gown found at Swoon Bridal, with elegantly flattering trim, cap sleeves, cut-outs and an open keyhole back. Her bridesmaids were given a palette but each chose their own lace floral dresses in rich hues playing off her velvet shoes and bouquet palette. The florals were eclectic mixes of colorful textures, a signature style of Holly Fleur. Flower crowns adorned the bridal party, who each wore their own rich shade and style of lace bridesmaid gowns.

The groomsmen wore tailored suits, pulled together by coordinating ties, and made sure there was enough stretch to fit in a skate session down the road post-ceremony.

Raied, in addition to being kind, thoughtful  and all-around awesome human being, is also a super talented DJ as well. He totally pulled off DJ’ing his own wedding and based on that alone, I’d recommend him to anyone! (DJ AKADMX )
