Family Photography in Glenbrook, NV

It was their little lady’s birthday spent at their favorite place to vacation, Lake Tahoe. Grandma and grandpa have lived in Glenbrook for over a decade and have since become a welcome destination, filling childhoods with many magical memories at the lake. After a recent move to southern California, they wanted to make this visit extra special and capture their family portraits here.

We traipsed around the area by their home, capturing their family of five and when the grandparents arrived, the excitement from the kids was enough to make your heart burst!

When capturing families with a varied ages of children, it’s important to make them each feel they can have the kind of fun they like to have during our time. When kids are forced to do something, they will become disinterested and that is far from my approach. This trio was full of ideas, wanted to run and mom had given me the heads up that they usually only do mini sessions because that’s about all the kids can take. When I hear this, I get excited to show the family how much fun the kids will be able to have when allowed to be themselves.
