I’m a Lake Tahoe based wedding and portrait photographer, and fan of unposed, giddy-in-love, melt-my-lenses-editorial-style moments … oh, and t-shirts and jeans.
18 years ago I slung a camera strap around my neck, and I’ve been capturing moments and memories that will be cherished for generations to come ever since. My goal? Put you at ease in front of the camera and document what matters and giving you something timeless in a fleeting world.
This is the first batch of pictures from Bali. A few from our hotel and then from a magical place called Tanah Lot. If this was my temple, I would be way more religious! We were there just in time to see the bulk of locals making their offerings… although I would believe it if it was this steadily visited throughout the day. The Balinese take their traditions very seriously and offer things like flowers, rice and fruit with a fresh stick of incense in a small basket made of banana leaves each morning and night to the the gods and their ancestors. This brings them good fortune in life, health and safety. If this is not done daily… well, I’ll explain this in a story later.
The Un’s Hotel in Kuta Beach- a calming oasis amid the crazy streets of Kuta.
I walked shoulder to wing with this smelly beast without even knowing! The largest bat I ever want to see…
Couldn’t help but to poach a shot of these two posing for their wedding portrait…
Pinch me!
Blessed with holy water on her forehead and chest and then sprinkled with rice…
I couldn’t get enough of these two! To get out to the temple, you wait for the tide to recede and then you slowly make your way over to the Holy Spring. These children kept being chased back to safer ground by the waves and were having a blast with it.
