I’m a Lake Tahoe based wedding and portrait photographer, and fan of unposed, giddy-in-love, melt-my-lenses-editorial-style moments … oh, and t-shirts and jeans.

A wedding full of great style and at it’s core, warmth, love and a focus on creating comfortably elegant evening with family and friends. Once I met met Lauren, Joe and her parents, I needed to be a part of this day. Lauren is an absolute sweetheart and puts others needs before hers so often. She was so concerned with everyone else’s well-being on the day of her wedding and the apple certainly didn’t fall far from the tree. Their favors were cozy blankets, after all. Everyone I metwas just so nice and kind-hearted, it was easy to forget I had only just met so many of them. The icing on top was this breathtaking venue! (Which is hoping to reopen for weddings once the zoning ordinances pass). A little piece of Tahoe history, this property shares the land with the original Bonanza set – an extra bonus when guests arrived to park. The owners are absolute dolls and take such care to share what they’ve created with others.
It adds such a level of comfort when a wedding is held all on one property. I always feel like so many in between moments can be captured without worrying about getting from one place to another and the logitics are so seemless. As a photographer, you’re never far from something that just pops up. This would be one of my favorite pieces of advice, when planning on where you’ll tie the knot. Feel free to look on my resources page, to find other area locations that will allow for everything to take place in one location.
Teaming up with Eden Rose Photography, she captured the groomsmen portraits and a large variety of images from the ceremony on. Love this girl!
This wedding was in August 2012 and took a number on my ‘to be blogged’ list for the past year. Thanks to my assistant Jillian, that list is gradually being dusted off and tackled! I’m thrilled to finally share this gorgeous event! Perhaps an anniversary gift to the bride and groom 🙂
