Traditional portraits or candids? What’s your favorite?

A solid family portrait earns its rightful place in every family gallery, while personalities are shown through the photojournalistic candids. I love getting that token family portrait but going about it in a fun, relaxed way so we get the whole story of you, your kids and your family. When kids are involved, there is really no other way I see fit.

Within the first ten minutes, I’m getting the goods. Then, it’s time to explore, run around, let the kids be kids. We re-group in a new setting for a quick round of more directed shots and kids play along the way, snapping candid moments as we go. My goal is to earn your kids trust quick, let them know I’m all for playtime and by the time we’re getting a shot I have in mind, they’re all for it!
