Lauren and her family moved to the area last year. She popped up on instagram and I fell in love with her work, so I reached out to welcome her to the area. Since we’re both moms, photographers and make little time for ourselves, we decided to meet up and get pedicures – the furthest thing from a typical first meeting and I couldn’t love that detail more! We connected immediately and I’m so grateful to call her a friend!

I get asked who takes our family portraits and every year it’s one of the many talented friends/ photographers I’ve made throughout the years. This year, Lauren and I traded and I got to photograph her beautiful family while she photographed mine. (Check out my instagram for her wizardry!)

We laughed throughout this shoot, since we try so hard to do the things we tell our clients to do to relax, but the “please, children, be the best version of yourself for just one hour” anxiety is totally real. Her boys kicked off their shoes and hit the sand running – how could we blame them, this location makes  me want to run free, too!
