I’m a Lake Tahoe based wedding and portrait photographer, and fan of unposed, giddy-in-love, melt-my-lenses-editorial-style moments … oh, and t-shirts and jeans.

The Rahe Family has been in my world since 2009, when we met about their wedding and we quickly found we had way more in common than we had thought! Cindy, an uber- creative baker extraordinaire, is also the talent behind www.hungrygirlporvida.com, a blog with many drool-worthy recipes and imagery to match! She was an integral part of my wedding, making tasty dessert bites and stepping in as a day-of stylist/coordinator. We’ve collaborated on multiple shoots, Sean designed the website I proudly had for years, and I am just so grateful to know them! With moves across the country and back, they’re happily local to the Reno-Tahoe area again and wanted to shoot their first official family portraits (she’s as camera-shy as I am) up at the lake. This brought me right back to their wedding day in 2010, and how incredible the love the have photographs. Perhaps, it takes one to know one, which is why I love photographing camera-shy individuals. To me, these images shout anything but, which is why I love having an hour to let guards down, enjoy the scenery and each other, and get a lot of good laughs out! Plus, I have a sneaking suspicion that these images will be staples in their memories for years to come…

Such beautiful portraits. The mountains make a gorgeous backdrop.
Thank you!
