A Family Celebration in Lake Tahoe

The LaPaglia Family visit Lake Tahoe every summer and this visit came with more than just family portraits.

I met Samantha and Michael eight years ago when they were pregnant with the first grandchild and their maternity session was always one of my favorites. A few years later, we did it again for their second pregnancy and I’ve loved watching their family grow.

This time, it wasn’t just for updated family portraits – there was something extra special planned. Michael’s brother wanted to propose to his girlfriend in the middle of our session. He was waiting for just the right way to pop the question and decided this was it. So much to celebrate! Setting these up always gives me such a thrill and having family there to celebrate with the newly engaged. Naturally, the occasion called for champagne and a beach picnic as the sun set because what’s better than love with a view!
